WHEN CAN PEOPLE WITH COPD RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINE?

According to the CDC, everyone ages 12 and older is recommended to get a COVID-19 vaccination. As of September 24, 2021, the CDC Director Rochelle P. Walensky, M.D., M.P.H., endorsed the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ (ACIP) recommendation for a booster shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in people 65 and older, people at high risk of severe disease and those in high risk occupational and institutional settings. The eligibility guidelines for boosters and age for vaccine eligibility is rapidly changing so please check this link to the CDC often.
